Sound Off: Google Chrome (Browser)

Google Chrome was first released as a beta
version on 2 September 2008. The stable out
of beta release was on 11 December 2008.
Google Chrome differences from other browsers
is that Chrome minimalistic user interface. Chrome's
strength is its application performance and JavaScript
processing. Chrome I feel is one of the fastest browers
among the major browsers. Chrome is just as good
as Firefox, Internet Explore, Opera & Safari. I am a loyal
fan of Firefox & have been for years. But try Chrome out
& judge for yourself!!

Sound Off: Internet Browsing on the Wii

Internet browsing from the Wii, interesting. Browsing
from the Wii is not computer browsing. It is powered by
Opera browser, a excellent browser. Wii browsing is good
for simple browsing, email & chat (Meebo). Social networking
is sluggish such as Facebook. You tube works well. All this depends
on the strength of your wifi. My is a Home/ Office network with
excellent strength. Use for business, personal use, 2 podcasts &
a radio show. Bottom line using your Wii as a internet browser
is not ideal but for simple browsing it's fine. Try it & be your
own judge!!

Sound Off: Wireless Printing

HP now offers the HP Touchsmart eprint series printer.
This allows you to print from anywhere to your printer, just
by sending the printer an email. The printer is online (on The internet)
is assigned an email address, once the email is received it prints
the document.
The printer really does not require a computer attached to it. It can
be either stand alone or PC attached. This concept is the best way to use
your printer & internet together. Allowing you to print from where ever.
Once again HP leads the way in printing technology. For personal or
business this concept makes sense. I love it!!!

Is privacy becoming an issue on Facebook?
Yes to some it is. Facebook privacy policy
has not been stellar of late. The information
sharing tactics suck. Sharing info within Facebook
is ok, the web & beyond is wrong.
On Facebook there is a wall of privacy
setting to get through, and try deleting your account
good luck. There are a few tech people who have deleted
there account. I will be keeping my account and do manage
to sift through the privacy settings and make it somewhat
acceptable. Facebook is a good product if left somewhat
closed, opening it to the web makes it less.
